Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities

  1. To help the Unit Head - Trade Finance in implementing the business strategy, as well as achieving sales and business targets. In terms of client acquisition and retention, as well as revenue generated.
  2. To manage the allotted Trade Finance portfolio in order to optimize income and satisfy deadlines. Business objectives must be met while the Bank's position is preserved. In addition, to examine the wallets of customers and future opportunities, and devise a strategy to improve wallet share.
  3. To keep track of the given portfolio's growth and profitability on a regular basis. Individual accounts are created by compiling, analyzing, and interpreting data from a variety of sources.
  4. To monitor and supervise the smooth flow of work with internal business partners and stakeholders, including client coverage, risk mitigates, operations, and Fil teams.
  5. To ensure that the Bank's customers get the highest professional levels of customer service in order to secure new business and develop existing business relationships.
  6. To develop, structure, market, and execute client business while maximizing returns to the Bank in collaboration with the Corporate Banking Relationship team, Trade Operations Division, Financial Institutions, Trade Processing Centers, Trade generating branches, and Regulatory Compliance Division.
  7. To ensure that new and current trade facilities are used to their full potential, and to perform individual or combined client visits with the Corporate Banking team.
  8. To meet the Bank's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in terms of asset book building, cross-selling, including FX, cash management, and other products and services.
  9. To guarantee that the Bank's exposure to the loan portfolio is closely monitored, that delinquent accounts are managed promptly, and that appropriate remedial steps are taken to protect payments and the Bank's interests.
  10. To efficiently monitor risk and stay current with market developments in order to take proactive or remedial actions to maintain the appropriate level of credit risk in accordance with the Bank's overall Credit Policies and Procedures.
  11. To create Trade proposals while assuring quality, accuracy, and data integrity, as well as adherence to the Bank's Credit Policy and Guidelines, and to submit and suggest loan proposals to the Divisional Head- Trade Finance Division for approval.
  12. Maintain a thorough understanding of all regulatory guidelines (including the State Bank of Pakistan's Prudential Regulations) as well as internal bank requirements (including credit policies) and ensure full adherence.
  13. To uphold the Bank's internal control requirements, including timely execution of internal and external audit points in response to any external regulators' concerns.
  14. To lead the discovery of possibilities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices within the function, taking into consideration "international best practices" in business process improvement, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement. 
  15. To carry out any other tasks that the supervisor may assign.
